Once known as Ashfeld Manor, Historic Mooreland Mansion is one of the most intriguing and largest structures in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, although it has been abandoned and left to the elements for a while. The buyer paid $78,101 for the property on May 22, 2020, according to the records of the sale. The house and 2.96 acres surrounding it were listed for $49,500 on April 18, 2020; four days later, on April 22, they were listed as pending.
There have been parallels to the designs of Clarke & Loomis, even though the architect of the 1891 Romanesque Revival house built by Colonel Daniel Lawson Moore for his wife Miss Minnie Ball is unknown. The Mooreland Mansion was bought by a bank at a foreclosure auction for $329,465 prior to being owned by its current owners.
